keep on "trek'in"

i almost forgot! jake's parents picked up solly on sunday afternoon and took him to northwest trek. i let him take the camera because i love the pictures that kids take. here are a few of my favorite.




when he got home he was almost in tears when he was telling me his favorite part of the whole day was seeing raccoons (of all things) and he was almost crying because he had taken so many pictures (and videos) that the memory card was full and he wasn't able to get a picture of his beloved raccoons.
such a silly boy. gotta love it!!

i got nothin'

i've been feeling sick all week and rather than getting better i seem to be getting worse. and of course starting tomorrow i have so much going on until sunday evening. so here's what i have to get though in the next few days:

thursday: play date for solly at the park across the street (if it didn't mean so much to solly i would call and cancel) then i have a TON of work to do to get ready for:

friday: yard sale. i've been putting this off...pretty much since we moved 4 months ago.

saturday: i might be continuing my yard sale, there's a parade downtown & we've been invited to 2 different parties for the 4th.

sunday: mojo's birthday party. we've pretty much only invited family. but still...i have a lot of house cleaning to do before then. not to mention i haven't even gotten the poor kid a present.

as we speak my "to do" list is getting so much longer in my head. if only my hubby would go to the store for more pop sickles for me :(

so i hope my blogs will be more entertaining in the next few days...if i can remember to use my camera. we'll see. wish me luck.

happy birthday moses

i wish that i could get the computer to cooperate with me right now. cause i have a great picture of the boys just after moses was born cuddling in solly's bed. then tonight when we're were putting them to bed moses climbed up into solly's bed to pray with him. they've been in love with each other since day one. and luckily 2 years later they love each other just as much...if not more.
i don't know how 2 years can fly by so fast. it seems like just last week when i was on my way to the hospital to have my baby, and here is he talking, walking and growing up too fast. as hard as it is to have a baby wake you up every 2 hours for 9 months. i miss it. (but not enough to have another one)
so happy birthday to my baby, boogie, guitar playing man. i love you!!!

i'm a dork!

i went to see ashley today. we had a great time catching up and talking about everything under the sun...but somehow i ended up only getting one picture while i was there...and it's of her dog.

that's right.

there is a reason for this though, you see moses and rocky (the dog) became bff's almost instantly (he just had to wait for her to calm down a little) and any time one of them would sit down the other one was there to cuddle up. so i was trying to get a really great picture of moses sitting with rocky's head in his lap, but of course moses jumped up and ran away (hence rocky not paying any attention to the fact that i was trying to take a picture, she was more concerned with where moses was going)

but like i said, we had a ton of fun just hanging out. moses took a nice long nap and solly had the wii & the great outdoors to keep him busy.

i hope that we have a lot more trips out there in the future!!

how?

how can such little people be so funny??
moses helped himself to a bowl of re fried beans and what better place to eat beans that outside on the patio? look how he holds the bowl with his foot! he's like a monkey!!
and then there's solly...oh boy what a funny little man. today he made up a joke "what did one cactus say to the other cactus? "hey! you're poking me"" and this is the face he makes when he's done telling such a great joke.
it's so nice to have little people to keep me entertained all day long! tomorrow we're going to see ashley!! we're so excited for our mini road trip!!

mud mountain

jake and i had big plans to take the boys to mud mountain dam this morning for playing and swimming. but alas...the weather was kinda cold and cloudy. but we took them to play anyways (but skipped the swimming)

we had a lot of fun. it was nice to get away from the house and do something different. and it's always nice to do stuff as a family.

now i'm just counting down the hours till saturday when i go to see ashley!! i cannot wait!!!

l ♥ my teenage kids!

becca and anthony spend at least one day a week at my house...and that's fine with me. they are so entertaining not to mention helpful with moses!! today we had a mini party for solly's last day of kindergarten. after a while we ended up at the park where anthony decided to jump off the swings and becca thought she'd try to catch him (no, it didn't work) but it sure was funny to watch!


after the park we went and found the lego's out in the garage & my "4 youngest" enjoyed them for over an hour! (notice rose in the background...that's pretty much what her and i did while the "kids" played)

i'm pretty sure moses was just glad to have a whole group of people to play with him. i've never seen him sit for long and play with something. thank god for lego's!
