catch-up

geesh! i've been so busy. so now it's time to catch up on whats been going on in the breece world. in the last week and half if i wasn't at work i was at home with mojo and baby lucy. but i did get to do a few fun things...like:
solomon's class put on a mothers day tea it was really fun and the kids put a lot of work into decorations, books, place mats, picture frames & books all for their loving mamas!

then there was mothers day of course. my boys let me sleep in and get this; i slept until 11:20!!!! i DID NOT think that i could even do that anymore. it was wonderful (until i realized at 2am that i still wasn't tired but forced myself to go to bed anyways) they also got me a candle and a whole gift bag full of candy.

sunday we also went to visit my dad (papa) in the hospital he was having some heart problems but i guess everything is fine now because he's back at work.

and today solomon came home from AWANA with the "EVANGELIST" award for inviting so many friends this year. what a great kid!!

it's been a long and busy week but i'm glad to have some fun mashed up in there too!

SUN-day

sometime i think that i should just start an album for pictures i've take while i'm driving. i do it ALL the time. some people text and drive...me? i drive and snap pictures. i get so bummed out if i realize i left my camera a home...and then i use my phone. so here are a few picture from our beautiful sunny sunday!

crack-a-lackin'

i talked to a lady at church a month or two ago and she asked if i could do cupcakes for her daughters bridal shower, she told me the date i gave her my number to call me when the date got closer and then we didn't really see each other much after that...so, i get a call on monday from her saying "hey! can you still do the cupcakes for this saturday?!?" of course i can and i will. i was just a bit caught off guard. so, i am gearing up to do 100 cupcakes for a shower on saturday.
i usually store, carry & transport my cupcakes in plastic cases that i buy from safeway, they're super cheep (75¢ a piece) and if they get left behind it's no big deal. but! the downside is people always say "oh wow, those are beautiful cupcakes! where did you buy them??" *gurrr* so i've come up with a little logo i put on the cupcake cases so that even if people think they're store bought at least they'll know they're NOT from a grocery store and at least think that they are from some fancy bakery :)
so here is what i came up with as my logo. it's not great, it needs work. but, i love the general concept of it.

i went shopping today and got all my baking supplies as well as a frosting tip that i needed. when i got home i started searching through my kitchen looking for all my tips, bags, papers and other party supplies and i found them all...in 3 different cupboards and a drawer. so, fed up with the hunt i did some thinking and came up with a great way to stay organized!!!
i swiped this sweet "toolbox" from the boys (don't worry it was in the back of a closet with random toys tossed in. it's not like it was a functioning for them...they'll never miss it) (OH and a special THANK YOU to ashley who bought this for solly a few years back! he got a lot of use out of it!! and now so will i)
it has handy compartments for my tips, colors & some random balloons!
the bottom part has enough room for all the bags, papers, candles and other decorations!!
OH! another big thanks to my big sister, anna. she spotted these boxes of cupcake papers at cash & carry a while back and told me about them. i went i picked some up today!! the regular size ones were $3.16 for 500 papers!!! (i normally buy 50 for $1.99 so this is quite a deal!) and then the mini papers were on special for the screamin' deal of $1.98 for 500!!! i won't be buying cupcake papers for a while but when i do i know where to get them!!!

in other news. i dropped my parents off at the airport this morning. they're off to arizona for my grandmothers memorial service. so, i am house sitting for them...or, grandma sitting. she doesn't like to be alone at night (and i do not blame her one bit!!) so, the boys (jake too) and i will be back and forth from there and home until sunday. so with cupcakes and house sitting i will be one busy bee until saturday around 1. but, life is good!!

a rough week

so, in the past 6 days i've gone through 80 ibuprofen...don't worry i've done the math for you that's an average of 13 a day...and the worst part is i only took 4 yesterday so that brings the average up to 15 a day. but i badgered the dentist in to calling in a prescription for antibiotics on saturday evening and then made jake detour on his way home form working 11 hours to pick it up. after 8 hours of being on the antibiotics i was already feeling better...and then came the flu.
so if you were to look next to my kitchen sink...you would think that an old person lived in my house...cause it looks like this:
but my hunky hubby took such good care of me. so when he got home from work today i had a the house clean and dinner on the table (ok the coffee table, but whatever) i know, i know it's my job...but i wasn't able to do my job for the past few days. it was nice to be able to "work" again.
p.s. i love my job.
oh, and don't worry, i'm done talking about how crappy me week was. i'm looking forward to a better week.

blah blog

i just haven't been up for blogging lately. party because of a sick boy and partly because i have NOTHING to write about. so this is what's been going on with me...

...moses was sick. it took a few days and about 3 sleepless nights before i took him to the dr. and got him on antibiotics for an ear infection.

...while moses was sick and i was getting almost NO sleep and i didn't do my morning workout for almost...no, for a FULL week. i was feel tired and lazy so i got up early this morning and worked out. and i feel pretty good today, although i am a little crabby.

...today i went to visit my rachie at work. i miss her and should go see her more often. then moses and i went to visit rachies puppy doggy at her house and since i'm such a nice person i cleaned her house...not the whole house just did the dished and vacuumed downstairs. i'm such a nice sister.

...tomorrow i get to go visit my beloved ashely. i miss her too :( but i finally get to go see her new house. i can't wait to see her.

...i miss all my friends right now. i wish that they all lived closer, especially kaydee & rose...oh wait those are my only friends ;) i'm pretty sure i get to see both of them before the end of this month..so that's good.

...solly got fitted for his tux (for my brothers wedding may 23rd) this week. he's pretty excited to wear shiny shoes & and a fancy tux. (i'll be sure to get LOTS of pictures of that)

...oh yes, i have started tanning. and i might even start dieting :P i hate dieting, it makes me VERY cranky. but if im gonna workout everyday i may as well make it count. i'm sick of my muffin top. and i just want to be happy!!!

...jake's birthday is also on may 23rd and i have no idea what to do for him. we are BROKE & i just don't know what to do :(

...i have watched greys anatomy seasons 1-4 and now i just have to wait for season 5 to finish and come out on DVD in the FALL...that's TOO far away :( boohoo now i need a new show to watch. any ideas?

...well i think that's it for my boring life. i'll try to carry my camera with more this next week so that my blogs will be more fun to read.
