bows, to the mall, rehursal and then...ER?

yesterday i tried to be as helpful as i could with wedding things...not so much for the happy couple but more for my mom's sanity. so i went out to my mom's house to pick up some bow and take them to the church.

then the boys and i were off to the mall to pick up a shirt for jake to wear to the wedding. we stopped off at mcdonald's drive through for some food and while we were waiting in the drive through i noticed a geek squad car in the parking lot and i pointed it out to solly and said "oh maybe it's chuck" so after getting our food then parking to eat we were on our way when i few miles down the road i noticed something in my rear view mirror

that's right! a spy in his geek squad car!
i felt like i was in an episode of chuck!!!

after the mall we were off to the rehearsal.

solly just learned that if he does good he gets a present!

then we went over to frankie's for some pizza (you can kinda see some people behind my sisters big head) there were about 35 of us there...we were quite the sight!
after dinner. we went home eager to see jake and get to bed. but as soon as we got home moses was non-stop crying and was obviously not feeling good. after 2 try's we got him in bed and he slept for about an hour or so. then he woke up screaming harder :( so i tried driving around with him, that always seems to help. but, NOT this time. so we headed to the ER. after an hour or so we found out that he had a double ear infection and tonsillitis. but they gave him ibuprofen and he started feeling better in no time. so after some antibiotics and apple juice we were on our way...after midnight which meant it was technically jakes birthday.
yuck, what an awful day! today is the wedding, OH and since moses is contagious for another 14 hours or so he will not be attending the wedding. but solly has to be there at 1 for pictures :/

arrr matey's!

today was solly's teacher, ms. merla's, birthday! she threw herself a huge pirate party. so, of course, i made cupcakes :)

but they always have to wait for the birthday girl (or boy) to
take the first bite, she teased them for a few min...but she finally took that bite!

she gave the kids some really great "loot" bags with fun stuff in them!

moses even enjoyed himself (while confined to his wagon!)

the weekend update

so after a trip to the mall and rose going home (sniff, sniff) then jake got home and (as usual) we took the boys to the park...but this time we used the wagon, they LOVED riding together!

then of course on to the swings. moses & solly both have new found love of going really high on the swings and moses just giggles!
moses thought it was pretty funny to run away. and that is fine with me...he slept really good that night
moses was in such a good mood, since he had his daddy home and all :) so i guess he decided to sit on him so that he wouldn't go anywhere!

then on sunday while waiting to go over to becca's house moses found a nice place to sit...he loves sitting in baskets (witch i think is funny that my baby moses finds himself at home in a basket)
then it was off to becca's. where i tormented her with my camera. but she brought it on herself by telling me that she hates having her picture taken!
it was a good time full of some of my favorite people...


becca's mom even made sure that the kids had a pool to play in. and oh boy did they play! at one point i got moses out and got him all warmed up and in dry clothes...and then he jumped in head first with all this clothes on. and of course kristin just couldn't resist jumping(or hobbling) in since she has her cast off finally.

we had good food. and a lot of fun!

good times

friday was the "entertainment night" fundraiser at church. it was a blast! a few of my favorite people had a lot to do with it (anfuny, becca, rose, sarah...just to name a few) i think that moses is in love with anthony's musical capabilities! if anthony was singing or playing the guitar, moses had his eyes fixed on him and was in complete awe! it was pretty cute. we had a great time! rose drove over to see us on friday and joined us at the church. it's always good to see my bff rose! she stayed the night and today we took the boys to the mall. we just really wanted some chocolate covered gummy bears (it was so worth the drive) but while we were there i found a dress to wear to my brothers wedding next week (that was no small miracle for me)
but now rose has gone home, i feel like barfing after tanning (weird napping while being really hot is NOT a good combo) and tomorrow i will have an extra 1 1/2 year old in the house (ALL DAY) but i am hoping to make it over to becca's tomorrow after church for a little lunch party (i'll be sure to get all kinds of pictures of that :D)
so that's about it....sorry it's not more exciting...better luck tomorrow.

one proud mama!!

after much debating solly decided he wanted to go to the end of the year award night for awana. i prepared him thoroughly for the fact that he would not be getting an award. he started late in the year and he hasn't completed any whole section in his book. so he was ready. we went and he couldn't find a buddy to sit next to and decided to just sit in the nursery with me. about half way through (when i was about to call it a night and go home) someone comes and says "solomon is receiving a special award, you might want to get him out there!!" so we ran out there and sure enough the welcomed him on to the stage where they gave him a big trophy (not that big, but huge to him!) the award was for "best example" apparently the leaders from each group vote for the kids that they thought was the "best example"(how cool is that??) so he stood on the stage (in his socks) all by himself and waved at the crowd with a smile stretching from ear to ear with his big trophy.
just as he walked down from the stage i realized my camera was in my purse (dang it!) so as soon as we got home we got a picture of my boy

i've got to say a mama couldn't ask for her boy to get a better award! jake and are very proud of our boy and we hope that he continues to be a good example!

i fixed my camera!!!

moses was nice enough to reprogram my camera the other day and i finally figured out what he did. so now i am able to upload and take more pictures :D
so in the past 2 days here is what has happened:
jake and i took the boys to the park to ride their bikes on saturday. and we tried to get a family picture...but that didn't work so we tired to get mama & boys then daddy & boys....

it's obvious how much they love me...

and then today moses did a big poop in his diaper and then SAT on his brothers head! it was quite entertaining! i love my boys!!

mothers day 2009

i must say that i love mothers day. i have the best boys in the world (and that includes jake) after sleeping in, they surprised me with beautiful pictures, flowers, a mug, a bug stuffed animal & lots of candy. they also made me a perfect lunch; barbecue chicken, baked beans & corn bread...and then they even did the dishes and served me up some yummy strawberry shortcake (that solomon made ALL BY HIMSLEF!!)! i am one lucky mama!! and if my camera was working i would take pictures of all my wonderful gifts and share them with you.
and now at the last minuet we've been invited to have dinner and s'mores with some of our favorite people!! what a great day this has turned out to be!!!

i feel blessed to be a mom of such wonderful little boys and so lucky to have a wonderful husbad!!
